Guided Independent Study is a study-at-home method of receiving The Academy Curriculum. The Academy Staff is committed to facilitating a complete and comprehensive education to those who choose this method of schooling. Our mission is to meet the needs, interests and abilities of all students. Each child deserves to be challenged daily and experience stimulating topics and activities..
The Academy students work at home under the direct supervision of the parent or guardian, the “home teacher”. The student and home teacher work out a study program with the Academy teacher throughout the school year. Students also attend group lessons at The Academy Learning Center. We tailor each child’s program to suit the family needs. Some families may come 2-3 times per week for support sessions and others may come one morning a week.
All Parent Education offered at The Academy is included in the tuition.
